Back again with another new layout. You know, I think that sometimes I just like to make them because they help me relieve stress. This one is obviously of Akanishi Jin, and the title is from the song LOVEJUICE. Been feeling kind of melancholic, so I thought that the grays were a bit more fitting than all the neon I had going on. Meh.
As I was doing this, I was going back over some of my old entries. I'm not necessarily impressed with most of them, but I AM impressed with myself for writing so many. This is the first time in about 4 years that I have managed to keep a journal this religiously. It's the first time since about 2005 that I've felt completely comfortable writing ANYTHING online.
You're probably wondering why I didn't just lock things up. Well...it might work for some people, but that would never do for me. I require an audience. I seek out advice and opinions from other people constantly. Having it locked would kind of defeat that purpose. I dunno. I kind of like when random people stop by and leave their two cents. Things are never boring that way.
In other news, (I think that's my favorite segue...) My Great Uncle is still here. He leaves today. The plane takes off at about 5pm, but he has to be there a few hours early. So THAT means that my life can go back to normal and I can stop screaming at the top of my lungs to a guy who won't turn the volume on his hearing-aid up. Good grief. He's nice as hell, but that's getting a little old.
We decided not to go downtown yesterday and see all the old cars. It was just too damn hot. Not to mention that there was some kind of ozone advisory going on for people who have breathing problems (meaning my dad and I). So we just gave it up. Besides, you could see most of the cars driving down the street by our house anyway.
We still wanted to get out of the house though... So my dad and I decided to abandon my mother to her fate of taking care of old people. We went to two different GoodWill stores, and to Tim Horton's for coffee. I didn't find any books, but I found about 9 CD's and 5 shirts. So I'd say it was rather successful.
Yesterday I got that other Aoi poster in the mail. I had been sitting on the front porch talking to my dad when the mail lady showed up the first time. She dropped off our other mail and then said she had a package for me. I was all YAY, and then she promptly forgot about it and drove around the block. I was beyond pissed, so I went in the house. My mom came knocking on my bedroom door about 20 minutes later holding the poster saying "she's really sorry!!!" It was kind of funny.
TOMORROW, I'm hoping that I get the GazettE Art Book, and the last of the Cassis CD's in the mail. They sent them out on the 5th, so that should be about right. Normally it only takes about 8 or 9 days for me to get something from Japan. Argh.
Work has still been miserable, but it's more due to heat rather than any one person. I'm kind of getting caught up on things. Of course, now that I've said that there's going to be a mess waiting for me tomorrow. I'm just kind of grinning and bearing it at this point. Inventory is 9 days. Halloween and Christmas should be a breeze after this.
That's basically it for me. I've just been being the good daughter. Thankfully, it's almost over. As of right now, I'm off to go take a shower and eat some food. I can't decide what I want to do today, but I'm sure it will work itself out somehow.
