If I thought that things weren't going to get worse, then I was obviously sadly mistaken. My dad had a run-in with a pole this afternoon while trying to swerve out of the way of a crazy woman driver. The bitch even took off, knowing that she'd caused him to crash. He's not hurt or anything, but the car sure is...
The even suckier part about it is that we won't be able to get in touch with the police or the insurance company until Monday. Luckily we were able to get a witness though. I'm tellin' ya... It's just one thing after another around here.
Also, I've got another sneaky little virus on my computer that I can't find. It's driving me crazy. Every time I disconnect my Zune from the USB cord it causes the whole computer to shut down regardless of whether or not the Zune software is running. I'm about to throw the damn thing out the window. (The computer, not the Zune...*shudders to think*) It's not like I've been careless with downloading things either, so it's really just starting to piss me off.
To top it all off, I have to be to work at 4am tomorrow morning to help set the ad. I get out at 8am...when the store opens. So weird. At least I won't have to deal with any idiots, and I'll be able to listen to my headphones...but seriously. I'm REALLY hoping that they don't make this a regular thing. It's taking away from the time I need to do my own damn job. Fuckers.
So what have I been doing lately? Not a whole lot. Watching old episodes of cartoon KAT-TUN and reading The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu mostly. I'm aware of what a strange combination that is...but it's really working for me at the moment. I laugh my ass off, and then stimulate my brain with some serious literature. It says a lot about me, I'm sure.
Other than that, things have been really, really dull. Got a text from Jimmy the other day (best friend in high school/Mandy's cousin) if you can believe that. All it said was "been a long time old friend..." Yeah. I waited two days before I wrote him back, and then didn't answer when he tried to call me. That's what the bastard gets for not talking to me for a whole year. You can't treat your friends like shit and then expect them to jump just because you give them a little attention. It's just not how it works.
Ran into another one of my lifetime childhood friends, Ricky, at McDonald's the other day too. He just got back from spending a year in Europe. He's supposed to drop by in a few weeks when he gets back from visiting his mom up north. That will be interesting. We've known each other since second grade. It's kind of incredible to me to see all these massive changes that he's made within himself. I wish that I could somehow claim the same.
Wow. This is starting to get a little bit depressing for me. I think I need to shift the mood a bit. So I'm off to go put my laundry in the dryer and start on a new fan fic...
