Almost five years.

4. How did you first come across Gazette?
I'm actually not completely sure. I just remember that as soon as I found them I attached and clung like there was no tomorrow.

5. Who's your favourite member?
Aoi. Duh. If you don't know that about me by now, you have to be both deaf and blind.

6. What do you like about your favourite member:
Err...this could take a minute...He is an absolutely AMAZING guitarist. Just entrancing. The passion that he exudes on stage just takes your breath away. He is incredibly musically inclined, which shows a lot when you read interviews. He's also an absolute dork. He can be a total goofball one moment, and then totally get down to business the next. His personality is a lot like mine. It's not easy for him to let people get too close to him---and I totally understand that feeling. He's also a homebody that doesn't like to leave the house much. Ha ha! That sounds awfully familiar to me. Also, because I know that you're waiting for me to say it, I think he is the most beautiful man to ever walk the face of the planet. There. Happy now?

7. Something you don't know, but would like to know about that member:
Wow. I guess it would just be little things. Things that most would consider trivial, I suppose. Like, what kind of shampoo does he use? What's his favorite restaurant? What was the coolest gift a fan ever gave him? Does he have a favorite book/author? A favorite video game? What's his favorite brand of make-up? ha ha! I honestly don't know. He revealed a lot about his past in the MUSIQ? magazine cover interview that he did last year. It answered a LOT of questions that I'd had. You get the idea though.

8. Which of the members have you written letters or fanmail to?
Not a single one of them, if you can believe that. I probably will one day though.

9. Something about you that changed when you became a fan of Gazette:
Me. My WHOLE self. It was like a swift kick to the head. I'm way stronger, and way more outgoing than I used to be. I'm not afraid to speak my mind, or stand up for myself. They present such a strong feeling of unity through their music to their fans that it almost makes you feel somewhat invincible. It's like, you have back up. Just read some of their lyrics, and watch some of their lives. You'll start to understand what I mean.

10. Your favourite Gazette song and why:
I can't do this with just one song. Their discography is just too huge and too amazing. So here's my top 10.

1) Cassis - It was the first ballad of theirs that I ever heard, and also the first of their songs that I learned all of the words to. It's absolutely beautiful every which way you look at it. Aoi's guitar solo at the end is probably my favorite solo ever. There's just something about it.

2) Guren - My reasons for loving this song are a little bit more personal than I'd really care to mention. Just know that it's gotten me through some absolutely terrible moments of my life. That song is like my lifeline sometimes.

3) Sugar Pain - Ha ha! The lyrics may be a bit twisted, but the music itself is probably the sexiest of any song I've ever heard. Again, for me, it's all in Aoi's guitar playing. :)

4) Misenien - The song they like to close with. Actually, it's an amazingly written song, and I wish I would have had it back when I was in high school. Basically, it's a song about being young. Keep in mind that the Gaze Boys aren't that many years older than me---Ruki being only 2 years older.

5) Reila - I mostly love this song because of the dueling guitar solos between Aoi and Uruha near the middle. The story within the song just makes me sad, because I'm a sucker for a tragic love story.

6) Taion - If you haven't watched the video to this, I suggest you do it, because it's quite the work of art. Mostly though, I just love the way that they perform this one live. Ruki's ability to absorb the crowd is rather awe inspiring.

7) D.L.N. - Aoi on acoustic guitar. Need I say more? Yes, I probably should. It's a song about redemption.

8) Defective Tragedy - It's a really dramatic song with a really huge stage presence, but mostly I just like the way Aoi sounds when he screams. Is that such a crime? LOL

9) Regret - It's hard to come up with a profound reason for loving this song. It's a simple song about a break up. I think though, for me, it's the groove of the song. When I listen to the GazettE, I listen to the music first, and then translate the lyrics later.

10) LINDA ~candydive Pinky heaven~ - Probably the most classic of all of their songs. This is the party song. This is the rebellious song that sends a rather defiant middle finger to anyone who tries to stop the music. "Destroy all the rules made by adults, until the sun rises, let's spend our time dancing..."

11. The song you'd like to hear most at lives:
Wowie. I'm not picky here. I'd like to just seem them live PERIOD. What they play, is totally up to them. They could play "I'm a Little Tea Pot," and I'd be happy. Well, maybe not. I think I'd like to see a set list similar to their "REPEATED COUNTLESS ERROR" DVD, only with all their newest singles thrown in as an encore. That's not asking for much is it? Ha ha!!

12. The song you listen to when you feel down or sad:
In all honesty, I mostly just listen to the album "Disorder." It usually has the ability to change my mood from sad and down to irritated and angsty. Those emotions are a lot easier for me to deal with.

13. When you are ill, the song that makes you feel better:
When I'm sick I mostly just listen to ballads. It works pretty well, and helps me fall asleep.

14. The song you listen to when you are happy:
Up beat songs like Silly God Disco, Shadow VI II I, AntiPOP, and Regret.

15. The song which influenced you the most:
There wasn't just one specific song. You can't deal with this band in that manner of speaking, because their style is constantly evolving. You kind of just have to swallow everything whole. The band itself is what inspires me on a daily basis.

16. The first Gazette song you ever heard:
Weirdly enough, it was No.[666].

17. Is there a song you can sing perfectly without having to look at the lyrics?
Cassis, Silly God Disco, Guren, COCKROACH, Agony, No.[666], most of D.L.N., and about 90% of Regret. (If you're a Gaze fan, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.)

18. A Gazette song you'd like to sing at Karaoke:
Cassis and Silly God Disco!! :)

19. Have you seen Gazette live?
*cries* No. Sadly I have not. If anyone ever wants to make my life complete...all you have to do is take me to see them. SERIOUSLY.

20. If you have, what were your thoughts? If you haven't, are you planning on attending a live and how?
If they ever make it to the States, I WILL FIND A FUCKING WAY! I know Uruha has said that he wants to play here, so I'm giving them at LEAST another year before they find their way here. They're supposed to be releasing an album by the end of the year, so who knows what will happen.

21. At violent Gazette lives, where do you always stand? Or if you haven't been, where would you like to stand?
Throwing the word violent in there doesn't scare me a bit. I'm a rather avid concert goer, and I've never had a bit of trouble holding my own. So I would say, right up front, just in front of Aoi. Betcha didn't see that one coming. *grin*

22. What style do you (or would you like to) attend Gazette lives in? (Clothes, make-up, etc)
I'm going to go with my normal jeans, boots, and concert baby-doll t-shirt. I might put some extra effort into my accessories and make-up, but the goal here is to be as comfortable as possible so that it's easy to move around.

23. Name a few necesseties for attending a Gazette live:
Tour Merchandise. Maybe Reita-esque bandana? Hee hee.

24. Do you (or would you) always fill out the after-live questionnaire?
Of course I would. What a silly question.

25. Something you've started collecting because of Gazette:
Anything and everything having to do with them. Right now I'm mostly focusing on their CD's, but as I'm finding good deals on other stuff, I'm grabbing it up.

26. Which Gazette costume series do you like most?
Most definitely Cassis. I actually really like the new DISTRESS AND COMA look too. It's all shiny and sparkly. *pets them*

I'm going to have to agree with the previous poster of this meme and say "If it's Black Moral, then I want it." Honestly, that pretty much sums it up.

heh heh. There's a bunch of Aoi ones that I shuffle through depending on my mood.

I usually visit once or twice a week for updates.

There's so many, but lately I've been listening to a lot of D'espairsRay, An Cafe, girugamesh, 12012, and L'Arc~en~Ciel.

41. An artist you like out of those signed to PS Company:
I'm a HUGE shipper for PS Company. I listen to every band they've signed. (Those bands being alice nine., Kagrra, Kra, SuG, and ScReW. I'd say Miyavi, but he's going independent.) They're quite the Jrock powerhouse.

42. A member whose words you were surprised by: (in a magazine article, MC, radio show etc)
Ha ha! I'm kind of immune to them. They're quite notorious for saying really random and off-beat things. Chalk it all up to fanservice I suppose. Though perhaps the funniest one was when Aoi was talking about how Uruha grabbed him during a show one time and started kissing him. "He was kissing me like he would a lover!" I think maybe Aoi was the one who was most surprised. Ha ha! Then there was the time when Uruha was talking about being able to go to Mars...hmm...I also laughed pretty hard at the one where Kai said he'd like to be Ruki for a day so that he could mess up his room (because Ruki is a big neat freak).

43. If you could become one of the members for a day, who would you become and why?
Obviously I'm going to say Aoi here. I want to see his oh so beloved house. I want to see how he arranged his studio so that his bath room wouldn't be a distraction to him. LOL.

Again, I'm going with Aoi on this one. If I'm going out, I'm going out listening to that man play the guitar.

This is easy. Ruki, that's obvious. Then Kai, because he's a regular chatterbox. Probably Aoi next, because he doesn't like to go out much and I imagine he stays on the phone quite a bit. After that would be Uruha, and then Reita. Reita doesn't really strike me as a phone guy.

51. If you had to substitute in a Gazette live, which part would you choose to play?
This is going to sound funny considering how consistent I've been with these answers. I'm going to go with bass though. We've already established that I suck at guitar. Ha ha!

52. One thing you like about Gazette (physical):
Even without their make-up and costumes on...they're frickin' hot. Not many bands can claim that.

53. Your first impression about Ruki: I loved his voice.

54. What name do you call him by? Ruki.

55. Are you good at drawing? Certain things. I'm nowhere near as good as he is.

57. If Ruki were really your brother, friend, lover etc, how would you feel? Ruki seems like he would be one hell of a loyal friend. I'd probably feel pretty damn loved.

Once I was able to break down that barrier of distance that he throws up between himself and others, I can imagine he would be quite the amazing lover. Never give up on them. Show them your love and support as much and as often as you can. It's what they thrive off of. Don't get frustrated with the legions of overzealous teeny bopper types that like to rant and ramble on about how gorgeous they all are. That's all fine and good, their style is designed to get your attention, but they are so much more than that. The MUSIC is what comes first.
